A burial plot is a designated piece of land where the deceased’s remains will be buried. Traditionally, Chinese would prefer burial as per ancient customs and culture – this is common for elderly family members. However, cremation and niches in columbariums are very common among modern Chinese families these days.

Different Types of Burial Plots
In Nirvana, there are a few types of burial plots to cater for different needs and preferences. There are few types of burial plots for both Christian/Catholic and Buddhist/Taoist faiths. Below are the usual terms used for burial plots.
- Single Lot Burial Plot- As the name implies, this is for maximum of one occupancy.
- Double Lot Burial Plot – As the name implies, this is for maximum of two occupancy.
- Family Burial Plot – A family lot is for a maximum of eight occupancy. Anything lesser is also possible.
- Super Family Burial Plot – Super family lot is for a maximum of 18 occupancy. Anything lesser is also possible.
- Royal Family Burial Plot – Royal lots are the largest and caters for occupancy of between 26 to 60, depending on size.
Every memorial park in Nirvana have different configurations and burial plot sizes, so it may differ slightly between each. Larger plots gives the family the opportunity to customize the tomb or structures within the land. Although large burial plots may accomodate up to 30 occupancies, it can also be used for 2 occupancy, especially for ancestors.
