Nirvana Asia Group was established in 1990 by our founder Tan Sri Kong Hon Kong, and it is already more than 3 decades of experience in the bereavement care industry. It is all started from our first private memorial park in Semenyih in October 1990. Nirvana Memorial Park Semenyih sitting on approximately 588 acres of land with very good Feng Shui elements.
From the first site that we have, now Nirvana Asia Group has expanded the current Semenyih site with Nirvana Memorial Garden, to Shah Alam Memorial Park and Nirvana Memorial Park Klang (Selangor). We also have memorial park in other states of Malaysia like Ipoh, Penang Island and Bukit Mertajam (Penang), Melaka to Kulai, Segamat and Tiram (Johor) and Sungai Petani (Kedah). In the east Malaysia, we have memorial park at Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) and Sibu (Sarawak). Internationally, we have a presence in Jakarta and Medan (Indonesia), Ban Bueng (Thailand), and Singapore. And in July 2018, Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur or NCKL, Asia’s first integrated memorial center which hosts funeral parlors, columbaria, a cafe lounge, a temple, and event spaces, commenced operations.
Awards & Recognition Received by Nirvana Asia
In 1998, Nirvana Asia received the ISO 9002 certification and became the first bereavement service provider to get certified. ISO 9002 is referred to a standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In 2005, we got another ISO 9001 Certification for International Quality Assurance. Then in 2012 and 2013, Nirvana Asia won the two top awards in Asian Funeral Exhibition. Over the years, we have been winning more awards such as the Champion in National Landscaping Competition (Non-Islamic Architecture Category) in 1996 and 2000, certified by the Malaysian Book of Records for being the largest 5 stars memorial center in the country, won the Modern Funeral Professional Award at the Nanyang SuperB Brand Awards in 2018 and many more.
